Requirements
- Ability to work closely with Sanitation Manager to monitor SSOP, CIP systems, and Pest Control programs for compliance
- Knowledge of conducting internal audits, pathogen swabbing, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Familiarity with food safety issues, validation testing, product evaluations, and government standards (e.g., CHS, Good Manufacturing Practices, FSMA, Safe Quality Food Code)
- Ability to maintain and receive sanitation supplies, tools, and utensils
- Capability to conduct routine maintenance, preventive cleaning, and special cause cleaning activities
- Understanding of chemical options for plant sanitation and collaboration with FSQA team and Chemical Contractor
- Adherence to all safety procedures, use of PPE, hazard reporting, and participation in safety trainings/drills
- Compliance with company policies, procedures, ethical standards, and Open Door Policy
- Strong teamwork, communication, mentoring, and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities
- Monitor Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), Clean In Place (CIP) systems, and Pest Control programs to ensure compliance
- Assist with internal audits, pathogen swabbing, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and food safety issues
- Conduct and document assigned sanitation activities to maintain facility and equipment
- Maintain and receive sanitation supplies, tools, and utensils
- Perform routine maintenance, preventive cleaning, and special cause cleaning activities
- Maintain facilities in accordance with government food safety and quality standards through validation testing and product evaluations
- Provide input to Sanitation Manager and Chemical Contractor on best chemical options for plant sanitation
- Collaborate with FSQA team to ensure compliance with Safe Quality Food Code Food Safety manual and applicable laws
- Adhere to safety procedures, use PPE, operate equipment safely, report hazards/accidents, participate in trainings, and maintain work area cleanliness
- Complete work assignments using policies/data/resources, collaborate with teams, identify priorities, communicate progress, and adapt to change
