Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of produce and floral operations, including business on the floor, backroom operations, quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance
- Ability to manage seasonality in item volume, product knowledge, processes, and time prioritization
- Proficiency with digital tools and handheld technology for sales planning, business decisions, production, training, and product quality
- Skills in supervising and leading a team of hourly associates
- Experience in collaborating with other team leaders and business partners
- Ability to teach, train, and develop team members, identify talent, and source new talent internally and externally
- Commitment to operational excellence, profitability, member service, ethics, integrity, and compliance with company policies
Responsibilities
- Supervise the team in Produce and Floral to deliver on the business plan and contribute to club success; communicate goals, execute programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for members, associates, and the company
- Work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the club meets member expectations
- Maintain produce area standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment, safety, and compliance; manage seasonality and ensure team has resources
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld tech for immediate decisions and adopt new tools
- Drive business results, ensure operational excellence, plan for profitability, maintain neat/clean/safe work area, staffing levels, audits, compliance, and merchandise layout
- Teach and train the team for effectiveness, develop skills for high-quality products, encourage career growth, and source talent
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; analyze information, monitor progress, and address improvements
- Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity; implement action plans and assist with corrections using Open Door Policy
- Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, determining needs/priorities, coordinating assignments, providing feedback, ensuring timelines/quality, and adapting to change
