Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of business operations on the floor and backroom, including produce quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance
  • Expertise in managing seasonality (item volume, product knowledge, processes) and prioritizing time between areas
  • Proficiency in leveraging digital tools and handheld technology for sales planning, shopping experience improvement, associate engagement, production, training, and product quality decisions
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team of hourly associates
  • Skills in teaching, training, mentoring, and developing associates, including identifying potential and encouraging career growth
  • Capability to collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners to analyze information, monitor progress, and address improvements

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Produce and Floral team to deliver on the business plan and contribute to club success
  • Communicate department goals, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for members, associates, and the company
  • Collaborate with other team leaders to ensure the club meets member expectations
  • Maintain produce area standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment, safety, and compliance
  • Manage resources, share knowledge, train the team, and ensure effective job performance
  • Use digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experiences, elevate associate engagement, and make real-time decisions
  • Drive business results through operational excellence, profitability, staffing, audits, compliance, merchandise production/display, and member service
  • Teach/train team for high effectiveness, develop skills, encourage career growth, and source new talent
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes/practices to meet business needs
  • Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with policies, ethics, and integrity; assist with corrections
  • Lead/participate in teams by sharing resources, determining needs/priorities, coordinating work, providing feedback, and adapting to change
