Requirements

  • Proficiency in operating hardware like cash registers, processing purchases, payments, returns, refunds, exchanges for various membership/payment types
  • Expertise in selling optical products/services: assisting with decisions, measuring/adjusting/repairing frames/lenses, completing eyewear/contact lens orders, verifying prescriptions, handling paperwork, collecting payments, performing/recording optometric pretests

Responsibilities

  • Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues/concerns, and promoting company products/services
  • Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, setting up, cleaning, organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing/pricing merchandise, and securing fragile/high-shrink items
  • Maintain the sales floor in optical area per company policies: handle claims/returns, zone the area, arrange/organize merchandise, identify shrink/damages
  • Receive/stock merchandise in optical area, organize/maintain area following procedures, utilize equipment, merchandise, complete paperwork/logs/documentation
  • Operate cash registers/related equipment, process member purchases, assist with payments/returns/refunds/exchanges using appropriate procedures
  • Sell optical products/services: assist members with decisions, measure/adjust/repair frames/lenses, complete eyewear/contact lens orders, identify/verify prescriptions, complete/maintain paperwork, collect payments for doctor services, perform/record optometric pretests
