Requirements

  • Ability to work Thursday-Saturday 5:30AM to 5:30PM full-time
  • Skills in processing work orders, prioritizing orders, and maintaining inventory accuracy using system software
  • Experience or ability in sorting, placing, storing, and moving freight manually
  • Knowledge of Surface Department tasks: preparing lenses (layout, taping, blocking, creating curvature/thickness per prescription, lens grinding, applying hard coating, preparing for addons like tint/no glare)
  • Knowledge of Finish Department tasks: preparing lenses (tracing, blocking, first inspection), producing lenses for frames, using edging equipment, manually mounting lenses, assembling eyewear, completing cosmetic addons (polish, tint)
  • Ability to maintain quality standards by reviewing work tickets, adhering to SOPs, and evaluating work
  • Strong communication skills verbally and in writing with associates and vendors

Responsibilities

  • Ensure facility productivity by processing work orders to workload and prioritizing orders
  • Maintain quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory by scanning product in/out using system software, sorting/placing/storing freight/work orders, and moving freight manually
  • In Finish Department: produce/manufacture corrective eyewear by preparing lenses (tracing, blocking, first inspection), producing lenses for frame placement using edging equipment, manually mounting lenses in frames, assembling eyewear, and completing cosmetic addons (e.g., polish, tint)
  • In Surface Department: produce/manufacture corrective eyewear by preparing lenses (layout, taping, blocking, creating curvature/thickness per prescription using lens grinding equipment, applying hard coating), and preparing for addons (e.g., tint, no glare)
  • Maintain quality standards by reviewing/analyzing work tickets for accuracy, adhering to standard operating procedures, and evaluating produced work
  • Communicate with Walmart associates and vendors verbally or in writing
