Responsibilities

  • Inventory Department: Process work orders to workload and prioritize orders; maintain quality/accuracy/integrity of inventory by scanning product in/out using system software; sort, place, store freight/work orders; move freight manually
  • Finish Department: Produce/manufacture corrective eyewear by preparing lenses (tracing, blocking, first inspection); produce lenses for frames using edging equipment; manually mount lenses in frames and assemble eyewear; complete cosmetic add-ons (polish, tint)
  • Surface Department: Produce/manufacture corrective eyewear by preparing lenses (layout, taping, blocking); create curvature/thickness of lenses per prescription using grinding equipment; apply hard coating to lenses; prepare lenses for add-ons (tint, no glare)
  • Maintain quality standards by reviewing/analyzing work tickets for accuracy; adhering to standard operating procedures; evaluating produced work for quality
  • Communicate with Wal-Mart associates and vendors verbally or in writing
  • Perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned/necessary
