Requirements

  • Portfolio required upon application
  • Must have active/athletic apparel experience to be considered
  • Expert with extensive experience in technical activewear within a successful commercial space
  • Strong understanding of active apparel market and trends
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing (or related field, as text cuts off)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the product line from initial concept to garment production
  • Embed intuitive innovation into each product while blending function and aesthetic
  • Exhibit organization and clear communication in a high-paced work environment with an advanced multi-track calendar
  • Drive success within a multifaceted organization, ensuring team connectivity across PD, Fit, Merchandising, Raw Materials, Sourcing, Color and Textures, Planning, Product Education, etc
  • Lead, collaborate, brainstorm, and co-create concepts, seasonal direction, and design as a leader and mentor
  • Collaborate with Merchants to harmonize commerciality with innovation, monitor sell-through, and react to market shifts and consumer trends
  • Design and execute industry-leading, highly functional styles reflecting Walmart's design ethos and meeting customer needs
  • Demonstrate understanding of pattern, movement, and technical construction to communicate with Fit, PD, factories, and 3D teams
  • Attend fittings and participate in construction reviews, considering aesthetics, function, and cost/IMU
  • Partner with active cross-functional teams (Mens, womens, kids, and footwear) to share brand visions
