Responsibilities
- Maintain and process shipments by developing/posting delivery schedules, compiling/organizing receiving reports, verifying merchandise counts, routing merchandise to proper locations, and paying expenses
- Receive merchandise, organize/maintain the receiving area, utilize equipment appropriately, merchandise items, and complete required documentation
- Track and process claims by returning damaged goods, handling liquidation merchandise, maintaining/cleaning the clearance area, and utilizing technology for reporting/documentation
- Maintain facility safety by following safety standards/procedures/guidelines, conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting and hazardous materials procedures, adhering to steel standard guidelines, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations
- Comply with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity standards using the Open Door Policy in business processes
- Complete work assignments/priorities using policies, data, resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, partners; identify priorities/deadlines; communicate progress; recommend improvements; adapt to change/feedback
