Responsibilities

  • Detect, deter, investigate, and resolve violations of company policies and criminal activities by investigating fraud/illegal activities, obtaining evidence, taking statements, writing reports, providing testimony, and collaborating with investigative entities
  • Monitor safety and risk controls by ensuring effective safety programs, supervising safety teams, identifying accident trends, implementing solutions, observing practices, providing training, communicating plans, and overseeing safety reviews
  • Manage facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety functions, claims, and receiving procedures by reviewing policies/compliance, identifying gaps, determining training needs, and delivering training
  • Manage claims and receiving operations by ensuring proper policies/procedures, timely processing of claims/damages/returns/deliveries, providing direction, and maintaining documentation/reporting
  • Model exceptional customer service by demonstrating OBW service model, supporting initiatives (e.g., store of the community, outreach), resolving complaints, developing action plans, and providing process improvement leadership
  • Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgeting/forecasting/expenses, ensuring merchandise presentation/inventory flow, and implementing plans to mitigate shrink and achieve goals
  • Provide supervision and development for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, providing recognition, communicating effectively, and recruiting to meet staffing needs
  • Lead and develop teams by teaching/training, listening, touring stores, providing feedback (Tour-to-Teach), collaborating on operations/merchandising/company direction, leading change efforts, and communicating objectives
  • Control unexplained merchandise loss and improve profitability by identifying goals, building accountability, measuring policy adherence, reviewing inventory variances, conducting audits/reviews, gathering data, and monitoring trends
