Requirements

Ability to operate Sysco Warehouse Management System (SWMS) and Transportation Management System (TMS)
Knowledge of Microsoft Teams for logging and communication
Familiarity with SharePoint for scanning documents
Ability to inspect trailers for damage, seal integrity, and reefer unit status (temperature and fuel level)
Capability to perform temperature/fuel checks and yard checks
Effective communication skills with supervisors, leads, carriers, drivers, contractors, and warehouse personnel
Ability to work midshift: Monday-Friday 2 pm - 10 pm
Commitment to safety requirements, food safety policies, standard operating procedures, and Preferred Work Methods (PWMs)

Responsibilities

Inspect inbound and outbound trailers for significant/noticeable damage, food safety-relevant issues (dents, holes, cracked hinges), seal integrity, and reefer unit status; report damages, seal discrepancies, low reefer fuel, and temperature issues immediately
Act as liaison between carriers, drivers, contractors, and Sysco facility to ensure adherence to safety requirements and procedures
Support food safety policies, SOPs, and prerequisite programs per Food Safety Commitment documentation
Report and resolve reefer equipment issues (e.g., turning on/off, priming, reporting low fuel or error codes) to prevent product loss
Accurately check outbound shipments off the yard using SWMS, verifying trailer, seal, and temperature; complete gate section of Outbound Load Form (OLF)
Maintain accurate yard data using SWMS
Use Microsoft Teams to log scheduled live outbound shipment trailer and status information; communicate assigned dock doors to drivers
Ensure outbound UUC freight forward paperwork is scanned with OLF; request missing paperwork via email to warehouse DLs
Monitor and maintain “Pre-Cool” section of yard; advise drivers on reefer settings
Perform temperature/fuel checks and yard checks on dropped trailers; scan copies to SharePoint or distribution list
Communicate with supervisor/lead to identify, resolve issues, and improve yard management processes
Research, track, and resolve (or refer) documentation problems and discrepancies
