About the Role

The Training & Development Specialist supports the design, development, and implementation of training programs across clinical and operational teams. This role works collaboratively with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality, engaging, and effective learning experiences. The Training & Development Specialist helps build scalable learning resources to support onboarding, continuous education, and the rollout of new processes and initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engaging instructional materials (e.g., presentations, e-learning modules, facilitator guides, job aids) aligned with adult learning principles.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to identify training needs and translate those needs into structured learning programs.
  • Support onboarding and training initiatives for Care Coordinators, Care Advocates, Clinical Navigators, Health Coaches, and Member Support teams.
  • Maintain and update training materials in alignment with evolving SOPs, policies, and workflows.
  • Assist in the management and administration of the TailorCare training website and SOP repository to ensure accessibility and relevance of content.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through surveys, assessments, and feedback loops.
  • Support special projects related to new market launches, systems rollouts, and compliance-based training.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and trends in learning and development to innovate and enhance learning experience.
  • Track and analyze the impact of learning programs through feedback, assessments, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Use data to drive continuous improvement in learning strategies, ensuring alignment with business outcomes.
  • Drives Effective Communication: Providing timely, clear reports and updates on program effectiveness. Actively shares insights with leadership to improve program results.
  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design or training development, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting.
  • Experience with adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and educational technology platforms.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, care coordination, and population health management.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively train diverse audiences.
