Requirements

Strong knowledge of Canada customs regulations and trade agreements
Experience in trade compliance, import/export operations, and customs clearance
Analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve shipment discrepancies and delays
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with brokers, freight carriers, and other stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects
Familiarity with CARM, Single Window, and other trade compliance software
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize trade costs and reduce duty savings opportunities
Experience with free trade agreement requirements and Canada drawback filings
Strong knowledge of product costing and specifications to determine reduced duty eligibility
Ability to work with product teams to identify new opportunities for free trade savings
Experience with port shipment release process and customs clearance support
Strong knowledge of Canada import laws and regulations
Familiarity with courier shipment issues and customs clearance delays

Responsibilities

Manage and execute key compliance programs for Canada's Canadian subsidiary
Research and implement duty savings opportunities to optimize trade costs
Conduct daily Canada CADentry audits and provide approval to brokers
Investigate and resolve Canada shipment discrepancies
Manage the relationship with Canada Customs brokers
Validate and approve duty invoices for payment
Own and manage the Canada returns process
Manage recordkeeping for returns to support drawback program
Serve as primary point of contact for courier shipment issues
Provide customs clearance support for Canada marketing and/or race event shipments
Execute port shipment release process with Customs brokers
Identify new opportunities for free trade savings with Product teams
Generate certificate of origins and work closely with Canadian Customs Brokers
Analyze shipment and product costing/specifications to determine reduced duty eligibility
Collaborate with Product teams to implement free trade savings opportunities
