Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of business on the floor, safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery service standards, equipment operations, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems), tire recalls, product specifications, and seasonality
  • Ability to leverage digital tools, handheld technology, and be an early adopter of new tools
  • Expertise in tire and battery services to model and train the team
  • Skills in training, developing associates, monitoring e-learnings, and sourcing talent
  • Ability to operate cash registers, process transactions, manage inventory, track returns/special orders, and handle paperwork/logs
  • Commitment to operational excellence, expense controls, staffing, scheduling, and maintaining a neat, clean, safe work area

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Tire and Battery Center team to deliver on the business plan, communicate goals, set guidelines/expectations, execute company programs, and adhere to policies
  • Maintain and share expertise in tire/battery services, train the team on new products/technologies, leverage learning resources, and attend training conferences
  • Use digital tools and handheld technology for sales planning, service improvement, associate engagement, business decisions, safety alerts, and product info
  • Drive business results, ensure operational excellence, order equipment/tools/supplies, track returns/special orders, assist in staffing/scheduling, operate cash registers, process transactions, and work hands-on in the area
  • Maintain accurate inventory, audit safety/compliance standards, complete paperwork/logs/documentation, and model member service commitment
  • Train/teach the team, monitor e-learnings/trainings, identify/develop potential, encourage career growth, and source new talent
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes/practices by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, analyzing information, monitoring progress, and addressing improvements
  • Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics/integrity standards, use Open Door Policy, and assist with correcting issues
  • Lead/participate in teams by sharing resources, determining needs/priorities, coordinating work, providing feedback/support, ensuring timelines/quality, and helping adapt to change
