Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties

Ability to work primarily days with rotating weekends and holidays (80 hours/2 weeks, 8-hour shifts 8a-4:30p, every other weekend/holiday)

Responsibilities

Prepares therapy patients for therapy sessions
Collaborates with nursing and therapy team to optimize appropriate therapy times
Assists with treatments as directed by therapists; monitors patients during visits and notifies therapists of any distress or concerns
Assists patients to wheelchairs/total lift chairs, transfers patients and equipment needed for therapy, and may assist with transport back to patient’s room
Monitors and cleans therapy equipment, mats, etc., to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies
Assists with processing therapy orders, scheduling therapy appointments, and completing documentation
Provides clerical support including answering phones, prior authorizations, patient registration, scheduling, and miscellaneous needs
Assists therapists in setting up equipment
Monitors and maintains working stock of equipment, linens, and supplies for therapy services
Prepares the patient and treatment area; performs clerical duties such as registration, billing, scheduling, computer work, and answering the phone; transports patients; cleans and maintains equipment (under supervision of a therapist)
