  • Knowledge of product quality concepts and ISO principles
  • Can use a variety of inspection and measuring tools and techniques, including comparators if necessary
  • Technical awareness, able to work with data analysis and problem-solving techniques
  • Export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology (U.S. citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, asylee/refugee, national of non-prohibited country with letter of assurance, or approved for export license)

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all PPE and job- or area-specific workplace safety requirements
  • Properly use lockout/tagout procedures
  • Test fire and check pressed parts, dye check parts to determine quality and make necessary adjustments
  • Work effectively with QC/QA personnel to improve output capability and quality
  • Competently operate all essential machines and/or equipment in the work cell
  • Help evaluate equipment tooling if necessary
  • Identify and actively participate in continuous improvements of safety, quality, and production
  • Maintain or exceed standard production rates
  • Monitor all kiln firing processes, intervene as needed to ensure superior firing results
  • Perform all required tasks at a high level of performance
  • Plan, schedule production employee training on using SAP for production
  • Safely and properly perform power checks, change glow bars as needed
  • Train other employees on proper equipment operation and/or setup
  • Troubleshoot general problems in the area including machine or equipment problems as needed
  • Work with minimal direct supervision, work from established procedures but use reasoning skills to resolve problems
  • Work effectively in a team environment, think creatively, problem solve, work safely
