Candidates must hold an unrestricted medical license and possess multiple state licenses, with a willingness to obtain additional licenses. Board certification in endocrinology is required, along with experience and competence in diabetes management. A deep interest in the science behind Virta and a commitment to its nutritional approach to diabetes reversal are essential. Telemedicine experience is preferred, and candidates should demonstrate outstanding bedside manner, excellent organizational skills, and a strong patient service orientation.
The TeleHealth Endocrinologist will provide the highest quality patient-centered care and manage a panel of patients through continuous remote care. This role involves collaboration with expert health coaches and support from other clinicians, including the endocrinology team. The clinician will ensure proactive follow-up of patients and share after-hours coverage with the team. They will actively participate in developing new technology and protocols to enhance patient care and outcomes, serve as an endocrinology expert for complex diabetes cases, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to elevate diabetes, pre-diabetes, and obesity care through consultation and case review. Additionally, they will supervise NP team members and contribute to improving the quality of care.
