Responsibilities

  • Follow the strategy to achieve project connections, prepare project plans, and monitor required results in coordination with the Engineering and Construction Directorate
  • Support negotiation of key connection agreements with the network provider, including pre-commercial operation test protocols
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key figures inside and outside ACCIONA
  • Carry out projects and tasks related to grid connection compliance
  • Coordinate/carry out subcontracting processes for electrical works in the area of competence
  • Verify technical and commercial viability of potential projects and existing plants regarding grid connection
  • Supervise/carry out analyses/audits to estimate connection process timelines and costs, with continuous monitoring
  • Coordinate management of electrical work contracts with Project Manager, contract administration, and project accounting teams to achieve objectives
  • Contribute to defining technical specifications for electrical works, prepare specific designs for projects, and identify grid requirements for design and construction contracts
  • Maintain coordination with Engineering to ensure studies and simulations meet connection requirements
  • Ensure all required tests and documentation are completed for compliance with the independent system operator, transmission service provider, or electricity company to achieve timely COD acceptance
  • Coordinate resolution of technical and grid-related problems during construction and operation phases
  • Maintain coordination with Engineering and Environment areas to identify the optimal interconnection solution
  • Provide guidance to departments involved in the connection process
