Requirements

  • Diploma in Engineering (+1 year relevant experience) or Advanced Certificate in Engineering (+3 years relevant experience)
  • 5 years of experience in Manufacturing
  • Experience in medical devices environment preferred
  • Skilled in electronic circuit troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of chiller systems
  • Knowledge of power supply systems
  • Skilled in schematic reading and interpretation

Responsibilities

  • Execute planned preventive maintenance in a timely manner
  • Respond to unplanned equipment downtime to ensure operations safety, product quality, and machine performance
  • Handle technical tasks related to planning, designing, and implementing maintenance programs to optimize facility and equipment availability and productivity
  • Assist in coordinating maintenance engineering work and liaise with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections, and supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules
  • Review mechanical and electrical engineering specifications and assess new equipment designs for reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts
  • Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Make decisions within the scope of tasks, requiring advanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Adhere to GxP regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing required training
  • Meet individual job requirements and contribute to organizational compliance, continuous improvement, and regulatory requirements
