- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with maintaining extrusion or molding tooling
- Proficient computer experience
Responsibilities
- Clean and inspect extrusion dies and components according to company procedures
- Disassemble and reassemble extrusion tooling
- Conduct preventive maintenance and minor repairs on extrusion tooling (e.g., polish dies, melt pumps, cross heads)
- Identify wear, damage, or defects in tooling and report to Engineering; recommend replacements or enhancements
- Maintain tooling inventory system, including labeling and tracking
- Collaborate with production supervisors and toolmakers to resolve tooling-related issues and support continuous improvement
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; follow all safety protocols
- Record maintenance activities and tooling condition in logs or CMMS systems
- Order production tooling and supply items
- Contact outside resources when necessary (e.g., manufacturing engineer, quality engineer, or other equipment support services)
- Establish effective working relationships with operators, group lead, and department support
- Read and understand tooling prints, part prints, processes, and documentation
- Fill out documentation correctly
- Effectively use quality equipment such as gauges, tooling scope, micrometer, ruler, etc
