Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including manual/power tools, electronic testing devices, and control devices
Experience and training related to computers and related software
Experience with governmental rules, regulations, and electric codes
Experience with company policies and procedures including safe handling practices for flammable gases, liquids, and high pressure systems
Experience with reliability based programs
Experience reading and interpreting repair orders, mechanical drawings, procedures, charts, diagrams, dials, gauges, and equipment manuals
Experience preparing, processing, or verifying maintenance and repair records, safety and environmental reports, electrical schematics and diagrams, pressure readings, and material and supply orders
Knowledge of the use and function of reciprocating internal combustion engines, pneumatic compressors, and electronic and processing equipment applicable to position
Knowledge of instrumentation, electronics, tools, and control systems
Ability to apply addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and algebraic formulas
Ability to communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions
Ability to drive from a base location to remote locations during normal shifts and on a call-out basis

Responsibilities
Provide technical support for assigned locations, primarily involving the transportation of refined petroleum products
Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair/overhaul large diesel engines that are the primary power unit for pipeline pumping stations
Maintain a working knowledge of company policies/procedures as they relate to the operation/maintenance of assigned assets, including System Integrity Plan (SIP) and US DOT Operator Qualification (OQ) requirements, and implement them into location work practices
Attend and actively participate in required safety training meetings
Perform routine testing, inspection, and maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all assigned mainline and facility equipment/systems, including electric motors, electrical equipment, electronic and/or pneumatic instrumentation, programmable logic controllers, measurement systems, product testing & analysis, piping systems, valves, centrifugal & positive-displacement pumps, positive-displacement & turbine flow meters, and similar other equipment and systems
Work on up to and including medium voltage (4,160 volts), three-phase electrical equipment
Complete and maintain required documentation/records associated with performed maintenance and repair
Manage location projects, including major overhauls, troubleshooting for pumps and mechanical seals, new installations, or modifications of existing equipment
Perform other functions as requested by the Supervisor of Operations
Loading rack terminals, remote valve sites, remote pump stations, and a variety of tasks involved in troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment within an assigned area
