Requirements

Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and hold a Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience in a relevant functional area. An active IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+, is required by the onboarding date. Strong technical writing and editing skills are essential, including content generation, interviews with technical teams, drafting, formal document reviews, and ensuring clarity, effectiveness, grammar, and formatting. Experience with document version control, organizing complex integrated document delivery with formal contract deliverables, coordinating quality peer reviews, and cataloging/maintaining/archiving publications are also required.

Responsibilities

The Technical Writer will coordinate and author technical writing and editing throughout all phases of documentation control and deployment. Responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, revising, and maintaining technical documents for software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation. This role involves composing and editing documentation for hardware and software, including installation, configuration, code documentation, and end-user guides. The Technical Writer will also provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation, and format technical publications using various word processing and presentation tools like MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
