Candidates must have experience diagnosing, reproducing, and resolving customer issues, and a desire to make customers successful through direct interaction. A Sunday to Thursday work schedule is required. Two out of the following three are needed: experience troubleshooting applications on Linux, operational knowledge of Java applications, or experience with at least one mainstream distributed system like Kafka, Hadoop, or Cassandra.
The Technical Support Engineer will work with customers to resolve issues with their Confluent deployments, contribute to process development, and communicate customer feedback to the core engineering team. Responsibilities also include improving product documentation, authoring knowledge base articles, and creating and reviewing product demos and internal tooling.
