Requirements

Candidates must be fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal, to communicate with customers. Minimum requirements include 6+ months of solar experience, or 2+ years of IT/technical troubleshooting experience, or 5+ years of customer support experience. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of solar experience, 4+ years of solar experience, 2+ years of battery storage experience, or 2+ years handling third-party escalations. Experience with Zendesk or Salesforce, knowledge of solar storage systems, and extensive experience with PPAs, SRECs, and PTOs are a plus.

Responsibilities

The Technical Solar Expert will handle Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for solar systems, interacting with customers via phone, email, and chat. Responsibilities include answering basic and technical questions, troubleshooting solar systems remotely, and determining when to escalate cases. The role also involves owning follow-up on open tickets, collaborating with homeowners, field service partners, and internal managers, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. Ongoing training and mentoring to enhance knowledge of the business model and technical systems are also part of the role.
