Requirements

Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience managing technical projects with demonstrable impact. A PhD-level comprehension of AI/ML concepts is preferred, though not required. Proficiency with project management tools such as Linear, JIRA, or equivalent is necessary, along with familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaboration tools such as Notion and GSuite. Responsibilities

The Technical Program Manager will develop and maintain project roadmaps, translating long-term strategic goals into milestones and tasks. They will run regular team meetings, triaging issues, and ensuring research scientists and engineers stay on track. The manager will coordinate between core technical and project teams, identifying and resolving dependencies, and will write and review technical design documents and project plans. Additionally, they will model human, compute, and financial resources across projects, contribute technically when necessary, engage with external project partners, and continuously refine Basis’ approach to project management in research.
