Requirements

  • Mechanical trade or equivalent work experience in a relevant industry
  • Experience in operation and maintenance within heavy industrial environment
  • Knowledge of pressures, flows and distribution cause and effect and basic instrumentation an advantage
  • Current manual driver’s licence
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HSE principles and commitment to safety
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to work in a team
  • Adaptability to changing priorities to maintain operations
  • Able to work autonomously and in remote locations
  • Able to work on call and attend to overtime as required

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain pipeline and associated facilities (including equipment, stations, bases, grounds, vehicles & workshop) to reliably deliver energy for our customers
  • Knowledge of Right of Way Maintenance for pipeline structures
  • Third Party Awareness and Landowner Relations – assist and communicate as required
  • Contribute to the safe culture of the APA Group, looking out for your colleagues, our community, environment and yourself in accordance with APA’s HSE procedures
  • Utilise the Computerised Maintenance Management System to plan and record all the maintenance activities
