Extensive knowledge of specific processes or manufacturing applications applied to control or information technologies
Detailed knowledge of specific industry codes and standards
Ability to lead design, implementation, testing, and startup of complex control, information, process, and automation systems
Experience in project team environments with direct interactions with internal and external stakeholders
Skills in risk identification, technical scope control, and managing hours according to project plans
Capability to identify technologies for standard offerings, new applications, and architecture extensions
Leadership in defining requirements, system conceptualization, design, and technical meetings

Responsibilities

Participate in projects from budgeting through delivery, specifying/validating solutions, controlling technical scope, and managing technical task hours
Design, implement, test, and oversee customer-site startup of complex systems
Coordinate and follow up with the engineering team throughout the project lifecycle to ensure execution within costs and timelines
Identify and present technical risks to Engineering and Project Managers at any stage
Ensure projects are closed with required contractual documentation, updated records, and lessons learned in storage sites
Identify opportunities and lead efforts to reuse engineering solutions or technologies across projects
Ensure use of trusted content, standards, libraries, and tools
Identify technologies for standard offerings, new applications, and extensions of architectures/software
Collaborate with Project Managers on planning/scheduling activities (work packages, gap-analysis, durations, resources, risks) and support project plans
Work with Engineering Managers to plan and schedule resources
Participate in key milestones like field Kick-Off Meetings (KOM) and acceptance discussions
Lead requirements definition, system conceptualization, and design for complex projects
Lead internal engineering team (including GEBS) throughout the project lifecycle
Lead application-related efforts and contractors on complex projects
Coach and develop application knowledge of less-experienced engineers
Leverage and share specialized application knowledge
