Ability to lead design, implementation, testing, and startup of complex control, information, process, and automation systems
Experience in project involvement from budgeting to delivery, including specifying/validating solutions and managing technical scope/hours
Skills in team coordination, risk management, and ensuring execution within costs/timelines
Capability to identify innovations, reuse engineering solutions/technologies, and ensure use of trusted content/standards/libraries/tools
Leadership in requirements definition, system conceptualization/design, and leading internal teams/contractors
Coaching and developing less-experienced engineers

Responsibilities

Lead technical coordination of design, implementation, testing, and customer-site startup of complex systems in a project team environment
Interact with internal/external stakeholders to validate technical solutions and define project execution strategies
Guide development team, set checkpoints for technical goals, and contribute to innovations for efficiency/operational excellence
Participate in projects from budgeting to delivery, control technical scope/hours, and ensure project closure with documentation/lessons learned
Follow up with engineering team throughout project lifecycle for execution control
Identify/present technical risks and advise Engineering/Project Managers
Collaborate with Project Managers on planning/scheduling (work packages, gap-analysis, resources, risks)
Work with Engineering Managers on resource planning/scheduling and support project plans
Participate in key milestones (e.g., field KOM, acceptance discussions) and lead technical meetings
Identify technologies for standard offerings/new applications/extensions
Lead internal engineering team (including GEBS), application efforts, and contractors across project lifecycle
Coach/develop application knowledge of junior engineers and share specialized knowledge
