Requirements

  • Pharmacy Technician license in compliance with applicable state law where applicant resides (active state technician license required in Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida; Illinois requires active state license AND national certification marked as certified on license)
  • Minimum of 6 months related pharmacy technician experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must reside in the state of Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or Texas
  • Secure room free from noise and distractions, with a closing door and ergonomic-friendly work area (desk, chair)
  • Own internet provider supporting virtual work environment: direct/hardwired connection to modem/router within 10 feet of computer, minimum 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload (WiFi and satellite not permitted)
  • Secure and private home workspace free from distractions
  • Data entry skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail while multitasking through various programs
  • Adept at reading and interpreting prescription terminology and medications

Responsibilities

  • Screening orders, specializing in research, review, and entry of prescription overrides
  • Ensuring patients receive correct prescriptions in a timely manner
  • Directing questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification
  • Thinking outside the box and getting creative to solve problems
  • Performing other pharmacy functions as required to support growth and development
  • Meeting specified production and quality standards as defined by management
  • Working in a complex, team-oriented environment from home (with virtual training)
