Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Disaster response experience preferred
Must be 21 years or older
Must have a current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
Must successfully complete a background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check
Must complete New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment
Must complete all required training at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter
Physical ability for sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, negligible force frequently; repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements; sitting most of the time with occasional walking or standing

Responsibilities

Provide outreach, emotional support, education, and referrals to individuals, families, and groups affected by disaster
Deliver engaging presentations on disaster reactions and healthy coping strategies
Network with community partners, build relationships, and represent the CCP program at public events
Collect data and participate in ongoing training to ensure service quality and program compliance
Perform additional duties as assigned to support program needs
