Responsibilities

Supervises children, indoors and outdoors, providing positive discipline techniques according to NAEYC standards
Participates in all developmentally appropriate activities with children
Ensures open, positive, and effective communication with classroom teacher, administration, staff members, parents, and Virtua clientele while maintaining confidentiality
Assists in cleanliness and upkeep of classroom, playground, and center
Assists the teacher with the preparation of materials
Supports daily activities within the classroom
Contributes to the daily growth and development of the children
Performs center-closing activities each evening
