Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proficient in English
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in tax matters, with emphasis on tax refunds, responding to requests, and tax audits
  • Strong knowledge of VAT and Income Tax in Mexico
  • Experience in tax compliance processes in Latin American countries (preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong leadership, effective communication, and analytical thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee tax refund requests (VAT and Income Tax) in Mexico, including preparation, filing, and follow-up with the Tax Authorities
  • Manage and monitor inquiries and reviews from tax authorities, ensuring technical, timely, and well-founded responses
  • Support and manage tax audits, including documentation preparation, technical support, and guidance throughout the process
  • Provide support in tax compliance processes across LATAM countries, including review of local obligations, risk analysis, and follow-up on regulatory filings
  • Collaborate with external advisors and internal teams (Finance, Legal, Audit) to ensure proper control and tax management
  • Stay updated on tax legislation changes in LATAM, assessing their impact on operations and proposing mitigation actions
  • Design and implement tax best practices to optimize processes, reduce risks, and ensure compliance
