Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field — CPA or Master’s in Tax a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate tax (mix of direct and indirect preferred)
  • Solid understanding of ASC 740 and sales/use tax compliance
  • Experience working with external advisors and managing deliverables
  • Experience in a multi-entity/multi-jurisdiction environment
  • Comfortable with ERP and tax tools (NetSuite, Vertex, OneSource, etc.)
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, clear and concise data analysis)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills — you can explain tax concepts clearly to non-tax people

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly and quarterly sales and use tax filings across multiple states
  • Keep all tax accounts and reconciliations clean, accurate, and audit-ready
  • Ensure reconciliation processes comply with internal control and SOX requirements
  • Participate in preparation of ASC 740 income tax provisions and related journal entries
  • Partner with external tax advisors on compliance, provision, and technical research
  • Manage deliverables, timelines, and information requests from outside advisors
  • Respond to audit requests and handle tax notices
  • Stay current on new tax laws and help assess business impacts
  • Look for ways to automate, simplify, and improve tax processes and reporting
