Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of Corporate tax experience, either in-house or within a large accounting or law firm, with a combination of consulting and industry experience being a plus. They should hold a tax lawyer and/or certified public accountant (CPA) or chartered accountant designation, and demonstrate excellent knowledge of corporate income tax, international tax, and transfer pricing concepts. Experience across the Asia-Pacific market is ideal, along with general knowledge of tax compliance, tax accounting principles, and indirect taxes. Familiarity with financial systems such as Netsuite (ERP), consolidation tools, and management reporting tools is also required, as is proficiency in the Google suite and/or Microsoft Office.
The Tax Manager will provide advice and support to the business in APAC regarding tax planning, reviewing the tax impact of various activities such as business partnerships, live events, and license agreements. They will ensure timely and accurate completion of all tax-related compliance, partner with colleagues in the management of tax audits and queries, including preparing responses to auditors, monitor the development of tax legislation in APAC, and provide tax advice to cross-functional teams. The role involves managing external tax service providers within the region, overseeing cross-functional tax-related projects, and contributing to other exciting projects as needed. The Tax Manager will also be available for potential travel opportunities and demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn and develop.
