Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule form
  • Ability to apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Follows appropriate housekeeping procedures according to company guidelines
  • Basic mathematical understanding and ability (add, subtract, divide units of measurement)
  • Practical application of proportion and geometric construction
  • Organized - ability to maintain orderly work stations and tool crib area
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Able to work different shifts to cover production needs
  • Understand inventory system and tool reordering

Responsibilities

  • Set up Tapping machines
  • Trouble shoot machinery and quality issues
  • Execute tapping department processes and procedures
  • Provide management with supporting documents and data as required
  • Notify supervisor to purchase tooling, taps, and machine repair parts as required
  • Schedule parts for tappers and operators according to production schedule
  • Understand tapping sequence
  • Load machines with parts as required
  • Operate PIV
  • Clean out oil and parts from inside machines
  • Keep tooling clean and in working order
  • Perform training for department as necessary
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor
