Requirements

  • 6+ years of development experience
  • 2+ years of mobile map experience
  • Deep understanding of the map ecosystem and data layers that interface with it
  • A self-starter and strong collaborator who can align and drive technical design decisions
  • Ability to rapidly iterate product ideations and drive innovation
  • Experience working closely with visual and motion designers
  • Experience working at high-scale, B2C companies
  • Help define and guide best practices within our mobile code bases and map components
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • (Bonus) Experience with graphics programming or game development

Responsibilities

  • Build and iterate on the new unified maps framework for our mobile applications
  • Educate and drive adoption of the framework with internal teams
  • Directly partner with product and design to create best-in-class mapping experiences
  • Work with broader architecture groups to define the direction of technology and align future development with it
  • Help improve the mobile engineering team's overall ability to work at high velocity
