Candidates should possess good knowledge of Redis/Valkey and related technologies on Linux, including all aspects of configuration and best practices, performance tuning, backup solutions, maintaining clusters and replication environments, and detailed understanding of monitoring requirements. Demonstrated experience in administering Linux-based systems, knowledge about environments such as VMWare, Docker, and/or Kubernetes, and cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Digital Ocean, and/or Azure) are required.
The Redis/Valkey Database Support Engineer will primarily assist customers’ DBA teams by gathering relevant data and investigating issues to provide a detailed analysis of findings in a digestible format via email, instant message, or voice, and performing screen-sharing sessions to help them quickly navigate and resolve issues. They will also author new blog posts on interesting topics for the open-source community, answer questions on the forum, create new articles in the customer-facing knowledge base, and host webinars, demonstrating a commitment to expanding their skill set with new technologies.
