Requirements

  • Currently studying towards a degree in an Engineering, Physics, Astronomy, Chemistry, Maths, Technology, Computing or General Science discipline
  • Must be a British Citizen (due to the nature of the business)
  • Able to achieve required medical and national security clearance, including HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS)

Responsibilities

  • Work within Systems Design functions to design Complex Weapons capabilities for UK and partner nation Armed Forces across Air, Land, Maritime and Cyber domains
  • Engage in projects at various stages, from future capabilities to in-service products, understanding missile/weapon system components (e.g., warhead to seeker)
  • Apply the Systems Engineering ‘V’ model across the product lifecycle, including researching future technologies and novel domains
  • Develop requirements and functional architectures
  • Create concept solutions through Agile methodologies
  • Analyse performance and conduct trade space studies
  • Conduct verification and validation through trials and lab tests
  • Collaborate with engineering fields, business teams, suppliers, customers, and international colleagues
  • Potentially travel within the UK and internationally
