Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in systems architecture, particularly with a focus on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). Strong experience with cloud architecture, specifically AWS, is required, alongside familiarity with DevOps teams, distributed systems, microservice architecture, and cell-based architecture. Experience with SRE tooling such as New Relic, Pager Duty, OpenTelemetry, and Splunk is essential, as is proficiency in one or more programming languages including Java, GoLang, or Python. Candidates should also have experience with automation testing tools like Selenium, BDD, Cucumber, Gherkin, TestNG, Junit, Postman, and JMeter.

Responsibilities

As a Systems Architect - SRE Focus, the individual will advance the lower environment strategy to improve stability, increase support, and reduce interdependence. They will contribute to lower environments through investments in automation, E2E observability, resiliency, service virtualization, and test data management. The role involves applying concepts like distributed tracing, backtesting, ephemeral environments, and multi-tenant architecture patterns. The architect will establish a robust backlog of investments for the team aligned to the platform agenda, working across domains and teams within Decisioning to set benchmarks and standards. They will implement common solutions and patterns that can be adopted or leveraged by the domain teams, and partner with other horizontal efforts across the company to align patterns, solutions, and target tooling. The position will also deliver immediate short-term wins aligned to strategic objectives.
