Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role (2-3 years)
  • Strong experience in cybersecurity practices and technologies
  • Hands-on experience with system installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows) and server management
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., intrusion detection systems, antivirus software)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) (preferred)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, O365) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain servers, workstations, and network infrastructure
  • Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and application software
  • Monitor system performance, perform regular maintenance, and troubleshoot issues
  • Backup and restore data to ensure data integrity and availability
  • Ensure system availability and performance through proactive monitoring and issue resolution
  • Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the organization’s information assets
  • Respond to and manage security incidents and breaches, coordinating with relevant stakeholders
  • Keep up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices to continuously improve security posture
  • Ensure systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, changes, and security measures
  • Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and system usage
  • Work closely with other IT staff to design and implement solutions that meet business needs
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users, resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects and initiatives
