Candidates should possess a firm methodology skillset related to system architecture and design, particularly in software development, including requirement management, system modeling, diagramming, documentation, and structured design decisions. Knowledge of architectural design patterns, frameworks, and styles such as microservices, layered architecture, and event-driven architecture is essential. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and their architectural principles, as well as familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, is required. A general understanding of current programming languages and tech stacks, particularly in IoT, big data, and ML/AI, is a significant advantage.
The System Architect will lead and guide the Talpa component architects and developers to create a consistent and well-aligned overall system architecture. They will understand future business, customer, and product requirements and derive the respective technological and architectural implications. The architect will create and implement processes for architectural documentation, planning, and change management, while also owning the technology and architecture roadmap. Supporting the training and upskilling of developers and other experts is crucial. Additionally, they will stay updated with the latest technology trends and incorporate insights into the technology roadmap, balancing activities such as discovery, innovation, feature development, and resolution of technical debt.
