Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science, or Sustainability Engineering, with a preference for experience in sustainability. They should have at least 3 years of experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, SAP, and Windchill, alongside familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers and various input/output products. Knowledge of EU legislative process and regulations related to the Green Deal is essential, as is experience driving standards requirements implementation.
Responsibilities
As a Sustainability Engineer, the individual will guide compliance for ESPR regulations, Design for Sustainability and Circularity scorecards within their team, serving as a Sustainability Subject Matter Expert and internal consultant for development teams. They will collaborate with the Global Sustainability Team, perform Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for Distributed IO and Small Controller products, work with Development Teams and other internal functions to collect data for LCA and Design for Sustainability, connect with Suppliers to gather data and explore design alternatives, and stay up-to-date with sustainability requirements and legislative documents. Furthermore, they will implement design practices to improve product reliability, durability, recyclability, modularity, reparability, and work with Management to lead best practices for new product development, identify and eliminate Substances of Concern, and report to the Manager.
