Requirements

Deep understanding in manufacturing processes for AL diecasting, Forging, machined, Powder Metal, Oil seal
Prefer working experience as manufacturing engineer and/or quality engineer in AL diecasting, Forging, machined, Powder Metal, Oil seal manufacturing processes
Parts development experience in AL diecasting, forging, machined, Powder Metal, Oil seal

Responsibilities

Lead APQP process as part of new product launches
Coordinate technical reviews and assessments
Develop supplier capabilities to meet BW requirements
Conduct Supplier Quality training at suppliers
Drive performance improvements at suppliers to meet established objectives
Coordinate cross-functional technical problem resolution at suppliers
Assist in identifying “high impact” suppliers
Visit new/resourced and/or “high impact” suppliers to ensure APQP progress/process integrity
Serve as a roadblock remover to ensure APQP target dates are successfully met
Proactively work with suppliers to minimize and/or eliminate launch issues
Report supplier APQP progress/problems to BW PDS Launch Team
Review and make disposition on supplier PPAP submissions
Assure PPAP timing remains on time and meets launch timing objectives
Update/communicate PPAP timing to launch team members
Ensure all PPAP requirements are met and documentation is up to date and on file for components within assigned commodities
Implement, support, and/or manage supplier development strategies and performance to ensure flawless launches of new programs
