Responsibilities

Manages the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities
Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs
Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department
Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facilities expansion
May establish and oversee health and safety standards
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function
Oversees area of responsibility, manages performance, develops talent, engagement, and inclusion
Communicates business and operational developments, plans, prioritizes, and/or directs responsibilities of direct reports
Communicates with internal and external customers and vendors across various levels, shares information to reach solutions, and gains cooperation
Manages day-to-day elements of the budget (e.g., overtime for staff)
