Requirements

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age where alcohol is served
Must have Smart Serve Certificate or be willing to obtain where alcohol is served
Minimum of three years of serving experience or extensive customer service experience
Previous supervisory, training, coaching, and performance management experience, preferably within the hospitality industry (preferred)
Excellent Customer Service and Communication Skills
Previous POS systems experience (an asset)
Reliable, punctual and professional in presentation
Ability to monitor and impact the bigger picture and the bottom line through strategizing to improve existing systems and sales procedures

Responsibilities

Run a daily shift, including overseeing staff, opening and closing business units, and upholding brand standards
Set clear service expectations for staff; supervise, motivate, coach, and recognize performance of team members
Address, manage, and document performance shortfalls as they happen
Conduct performance evaluations on all workers under control and initiate/suggest plans to help motivate workers to achieve goals
Adhere to Brand Standards, including station layouts, drink recipes, and service standards
Train and lead front line staff to deliver highest degree of sales, service, safety, and guest experience; involve other departments as necessary
With oversight from Manager, develop SOPs and other training documents
Build and maintain positive working relationships with Culinary Leaders, chefs, and cleaning staff; develop extensive knowledge of menu
Oversee and, when necessary, help team complete daily tasks such as serving, cashiering, opening/closing duties, bussing tables; manage cash float, balance and reconcile daily sales, balance safes, complete daily reporting
Build and maintain positive relationships with Guests and/or Group Conveners; manage guest expectations and ensure satisfactory service recovery
Accountable for department area daily maintenance of equipment and amenities
Order food and beverage products for the business unit, adhering to par levels provided by Manager/Assistant Manager
