2-5 years operator experience required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college level education or work-related experience
Valid driver’s license required
Must be able to work compressed work shifts as well as possible participation/attendance for meetings/classes on unscheduled days
Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Standing for 12 hours

Responsibilities

Works directly for Production Manager on all manufacturing related aspects to ensure safe, on time and cost effective manufacturing execution and delivery
Ensures activities in production area(s) meet production goals and support quality and cost objectives
Works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions and implement corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence
Selects and develops personnel to ensure efficient operation of the production floor; communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions
Runs a safe, incident/injury free work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
Must be able to work in a clean room environment and follow clean room protocols. Must understand best practices for safe handling of chemicals
Must have knowledge of all OP’s and CAR’s for audits
Write Work Instructions and Operating Procedures as required. Oversee training requirements for the production department
Interface with engineering, management, and maintenance
Setup and operate assigned production equipment striving to achieve goals for quality, efficiency and productivity
Understand and identify defects in accordance with applicable workmanship
Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity
Maintains reports to reflect scheduling, methods, support performance and process procedures
Perform and direct 5S activities
Oversee daily passdowns from previous shift
Performs the role of a Production Technician in the absence of other duties for the shift
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
