Requirements

  • Previous experience working in Attractions/Recreation an asset
  • Rescuer Certification required (in-house training provided)
  • Understands basic management approaches such as work schedules
  • Somewhat advanced but limited process knowledge specific to their job area
  • No secondary education required
  • 3 years of experience in related work

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day operational support of the Mountain Adventures attractions, while maintaining a high level of guest and employee experience
  • Work alongside staff in all areas of the operation and perform the duties of a Mountain Adventures Team Lead when required
  • Set clear expectations for staff, motivate, coach, and recognize great performance, including onboarding new employees, training, rewards & recognition, and assist in developing performance reviews and corrective coaching
  • Provide staff with the tools required to complete their jobs/tasks
  • Operate POS and perform cash handling duties at applicable attractions
  • Ensure daily expenses and labour schedules meet daily budget allocations
  • Ensure resources are available and in good working order, and deliver training and communication for a highly productive, efficient environment with minimal downtime and high-quality products/services
  • Participate in and deliver programming and training that unites employees around purpose and fun, resulting in high employee engagement, retention, and return rates
  • Foster a culture of teamwork between all employees to achieve department targets
  • Uphold department standards related to documentation of training required by government agencies pertaining to risk and safety
