  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in live haul or equivalent
  • Class A CDL preferred
  • Welding experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills (sending and answering emails, building and changing spreadsheets)
  • Supervisory responsibility for a group of personnel performing identical and related tasks
  • Travel: 1 per year

Responsibilities

  • Schedule the catching, loading, and hauling of live broilers to the processing plant
  • Monitor DOAs (Dead on Arrival) to ensure the health and safety of the broilers during transport
  • Promote safety and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel involved in live haul operations
  • Monitor drivers' time and ELD logs to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Review and coach Drive Cam videos to improve driver performance
  • Ensure drivers and catchers arrive on time at the farm and plant
  • Work with catch contractors, Live Haul Manager, and driver supervisor to ensure operations run smoothly
  • Make necessary changes to the catch and haul schedule to optimize efficiency
  • Supervise and assist personnel in the repair of cages to maintain equipment functionality
  • Perform other responsibilities as the need arises to support live haul operations
