Bachelor's degree in Applied Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or equivalent
Minimum of 5-10 years of construction, maintenance, or related experience (Energy Delivery and transmission experience preferred)
Supervisory experience of both non-bargaining unit and bargaining unit employees preferred
Detailed knowledge of transmission construction
Thorough knowledge of applicable work practices and procedures, and safety requirements
Detailed knowledge of transmission power system operations, maintenance, and construction
Good human resource management and business planning skills
Working knowledge of information technology and Eversource's office automation and information systems
Good written and oral communications ability
Valid motor vehicle driver's license
Availability for system-wide on-call responsibilities, emergency restoration assignments, and travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
Responsibilities
Supervise all aspects of construction field management activities for substations and transmission lines using contractor resources
Supervise Transmission Construction Representatives
Work with Project Managers, Engineering, Scheduling, Contract Administration, other Transmission Group managers, and field staff to ensure safe, timely completion of work meeting Eversource's quality standards
Manage all aspects of the construction phase of projects relative to cost, productivity, schedule, best practices, and Eversource Policies and Procedures
Ensure compliance with environmental programs, policies, rules, and regulations
Direct safety awareness and compliance initiatives within the department
Monitor the safety and environmental performance of contractors
Promote teamwork among and between all members of the Transmission and Distribution organizations and other internal groups
Direct efforts to achieve world-class excellence in safe work practices and safety performance
Respond to emergency situations as part of every employee's role, including emergency restoration assignments
