Requirements

Degree or diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural works including bridges, stations, tunnels, retaining walls, and elevated guideways
Perform quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BIM models
Develop and maintain unit rates for concrete, formwork, reinforcing steel, structural steel, and precast elements
Collaborate with designers, engineers, and construction managers to validate constructability, sequencing, and methodology impacts on cost
Support value engineering exercises by identifying cost-saving alternatives and structural optimization opportunities
Analyze subcontractor/vendor pricing and provide bid evaluations
Support tender preparation and submission for design-build or P3 infrastructure contracts
Participate in risk and contingency analysis, particularly for geotechnical interfaces and large-scale structural components
Track and update market trends in construction labor, materials, and structural equipment
Provide input for project budgets, cost planning, change orders, and claims
