Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on experience in high-voltage transmission line stringing works, with preference for experience on 330kV and above transmission lines. Fluency in English is required, along with familiarity with stringing techniques, tensioning methods, and safety procedures. A mandatory Working at Height certification, and relevant City & Guild or equivalent certification is extremely desirable, while rigging, lifting, or power transmission certifications are considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

The High Voltage Power Transmission Line Stringing Specialist will perform preparation works, paying out, jointing, clipping, tensioning, sagging, clamping, spacering, and jumpering for high-voltage transmission lines, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. They will operate and maintain stringing equipment, such as tensioners, pullers, and winches, while also ensuring proper installation of insulator string fittings, conductors, OPGW, and earth wires. The role involves working at heights on lattice towers and monopoles, adhering to safety regulations and coordinating with site supervisors and engineers to execute work within project timelines, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring a safe working environment.
